The Langtang Valley is located only 30km north of Kathmandu and close to the border of Tibet. This trek is a superb introduction to trekking in Nepal and our climb of Yala Peak offers a wonderful introduction to mountaineering in the Himalayas, among some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole of Nepal. After trekking up the Langtang Valley to our base at Yala, we have the opportunity to climb Yala Peak (5500m). The climb is straightforward being little more than a walk up steep snow slopes of around 30 degrees. The view from the summit is breathtaking, magnificent mountain scenery of snow-capped peaks all around and views across to the mountains of Tibet, including Shishapangma. Descending from the upper Langtang Valley we retrace our route back to Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu, meet at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
