Overview

The trek (Numbur Cheese Circuit) is a recently opened, non tourist area trekking trail in Khumbu Region. This is best trek trail for the ideal trekker who wants to escape from the regular track and to touch up with the off beaten trail. The trek can be done by walking through deep river gorges, glacial lakes, terraced rice fields, subtropical forests and Sherpa villages to the Likhu Khola glacier, watched over by the towering peaks of Pathibarra and Numbur. Trekker can visit one of the Nepal’s first cheese factories, established in 1957 and the famous Thodung monastery. The cultural rituals surrounding Buddhism and Hinduism are another major attraction, but the foremost prize of the whole experience is the chance to meet people more then 21 different Indigenous communities, learn about them and their culture just in one short trekking.
