Enjoy fabulous mountain scenery enroute, visit mystical Buddhist monasteries of Tashilungpo at Shigatse, the Kumbum Stupa at Gyantse, and drive past the beautiful Turquoise lake. In Lhasa visit the famous Potala and Norbulinkha palaces, the great Drepung Monastery and walk through the bustling Barkor Bazaar before flying back to Kathmandu (or onward to China). Brief Itinerary

  • Day 01:
    Arrival in Kathmandu, meet at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 02:
    Kathmandu – sightseeing
  • Day 03:
    Nagarkot – sightseeing
  • Day 04:
    Dhulikhel – sightseeing.
  • Day 05:
    Drive Dhulikhel to Kodari (6 hrs). After immigration and custom formalities drive to Zangmu. Overnight Hotel.
  • Day 06:
    Drive to Tingri (4342m/8 hrs) crossing two passes Nyalam (3800m) and Lalungla (5050m) with excellent views (weather permitting) of the lofty Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 07:
    Drive from Tingri to Xigatse (3900m/8 hrs) crossing two passes Lhakpala (5200m) and Tsuola (4500m). Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 08:
    Sightseeing tour of Tashilungpo Monastery and Xigatse Market. Afternoon drive to Gyantse (3950m/3hrs). Sightseeing tour of Phalkor Monastery, Kumbum Stupa and Gyantse Market. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 09:
    Drive Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m/8 hours) crossing two passes Karola (5010m) and Kambala (4794m) via Yamdrok Lake (Turquoise Lake). Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 10:
    Sightseeing tour of Drepung & Jokhang Monasteries and Barkhor Market. Overnight hotel.
  • Day 11:
    Sightseeing tour of Potala & Norbulingka Palaces and Sera Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 12:
    Drive to Gonggar airport and fly out to (Kathmandu or Chengdu) for onward journey.
  • Day 13:
    Kathamndu – leisure time
  • Day 14:
    Departure to connect next destination or you may extend the trip as per your desire and time permit
